mediatemple dv add to the vhost.conf file of the (domain) the following works like a charm do not need to add to .htaccess:

make sure dns zone file has wildcard associated with it *.(domain).com

then vi /var/www/vhosts/(domain).com/conf/vhost.conf and add the following

ServerAlias *.(domain)\.com
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.* [NC]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^([^\.]+)\.(domain)\.com
RewriteCond /var/www/vhosts/(domain)\.com/httpdocs/%1 -d
RewriteRule ^(.*) /%1/$1 [L]

/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/websrvmng –reconfigure-vhost –vhost-name=(domain).com

stop the server /etc/init.d/httpd stop
restart the server /etc/init.d/httpd start

add subdomain folder to domain, ie. blog

add file index.php with following code <?php echo “hello”; ?>
save

in browser http://blog.(domain).com you should see hello

Hubspot 2010-05-14

May 16th, 2010 Comments off

Was doing some for research on Hubspot – couldn’t find any complaints out on the web except for some whining guy who didn’t like the sales presenters voice – not sure really what that had to do with the product. As to the product itself I’ve included some interesting things:

http://www.hubspot.com/customer-case-studies/

you and I know that testimonials can be manipulated – but the fact is the search engines have something to say about this company.

a testimonial page – the first testimonial is from a injection molded foam company – her praise is interesting and tells you what she got out of it – the company is under 20 employees – what i found really interesting is if you search her company name on the web google brings up a page full of listings about her company

http://www.mdiproducts.com/

http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=mdi+products&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

and if you search on injection molded foam – her company comes up right at the top – I think that says a lot about what this product could possibly do for us.

http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=injection+molded+foam&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

search under soft foam product: and she comes up number 2

Rode up the hill towards Whitewater yesterday – probably a big mistake as the spokes crumpled today when we went out towards Overture Way. Going to have all the spokes replaced on my back wheel to see if it will work better with single butted spokes. 10 miles – hot and didn’t enjoy – took the bike into the shop and then went to Firsherman’s Market for swordfish tacos and beer – and then came home to sit in the garden.

Growth of Soil and The Women At The Pump have been on my list of books I have read multiple times. Hunger and Pan are not. August, Mysteries, Wayfarers I have read once. I know that I shouldn’t have liked reading this man’s writings. He sided with the Nazi’s – was sympathetic to the Fascist movement, was a racist – culturally and racially – but i must say that Growth of Soil and The Women at the Pump have stuck with me. I can not escape the feeling that art does not always come from those that we would feel empathy or sympathetic to – that art can not be found in the biography of the artist, can not be compared with their political and social ideals and mores. Instead when the art is born it is disassociated from the artist if it is to live the real life of art – it must be hard and pristine and able to withstand the absurdities of their creator and stand on it own. I remember reading Henry Miller saying how much he wished to meet Hamson – myself i would never have wanted to meet this man – but read his writings that is a different matter. Knut Hamson

today yoko ono took questions from a teeming host of questions and answered them:
i had to chuckle at this one – it made me very happy:
Dear Yoko, how can a loving parent help her child stop telling lies?
Think of their lies as creative stories. Ask them to tell more and express your appreciation. Keep pushing for more stories. Ask them to write them as their diary. Soon then will want to write something real in their diaries…not fiction. If they want to keep writing fiction. Well, you will have a writer in your family!
